Former UWL vice chancellor Hetzel gives campus $1 million; a section of Wittich Hall named in his ho...
WIZMnews.com UW-La Crosse has received another large gift, from a long-time administrator on campus. The university has renamed the lower level of Wittich Hall in honor of retired Vice Chancellor Bob Hetzel, calling the area Hetzel Commons. Hetzel retired from UWL last year after working 17 years at the school. Chancellor James Beeby says Hetzel’s donation of a million dollars for a dean’s endowment for the College of Business Administration will go a long way to benefit business education at the school. “It helps to attract faculty,” says Beeby.
