  • ‘Badge of Honor!’ CNBC Journo Says Trump ‘Did NOT Like’ Her ‘Nasty Question’ About Chick...
CNBC Washington Correspondent Megan Cassella said President Donald Trump “did not like” her question about a mocking Wall Street acronym, and called it a “badge of honor” that he labeled it a “nasty question.” Trump took questions at a swearing-in ceremony for Jeanine Pirro in the Oval Office on Wednesday, during which Casella drew Trump’s ire for asking about the acronym “TACO” — short for “Trump Always Chickens Out” when it comes to tariff showdowns. On Wednesday’s edition of CNBC’s The Exchange, anchor Kelly Evans tossed to Casella live at the White House just after the event wrapped up, and asked her about Trump’s reaction after her report: MEGAN CASSELLA: You might have heard the term “TACO trade” — Trump Always Chickens Out. That’s what some analysts, some commentators have been using to talk about this. So I asked the president directly what’s his response to that and he had a long… ...[TheTopNews] Read More.

  • Trump Brags About Punishing Harvard In Wild Oval Office Presser: ‘They Are Getting Their Ass Kicke...
President Donald Trump took questions from reporters following the swearing-in ceremony for ex-Fox News host Jeanine Pirro as the interim U.S. Attorney for Washington, DC, and pulled no punches in hammering Harvard University. As the at times tense, impromptu presser wound down, Trump asked for one last question. “How will the confrontation with Harvard end? Do you foresee–” asked the reporter as Trump cut in, “I don’t know. I don’t know.” “Harvard’s got to behave themselves. Harvard is treating our country with great disrespect. And all they’re doing is getting in deeper and deeper and deeper,” Trump continued, adding: They’ve got to behave themselves, you know. I’m looking out for the country and for Harvard. I want Harvard to do well. I want to Harvard to be great again, probably, because how could it be great? How could it great? When you have Harvard announced two weeks ago… ...[TheTopNews] Read More.

  • How Trump’s Controversial Pardon May Literally Pay Off for the Chrisleys — and Cost Their Victim...
(Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP photo) President Donald Trump’s controversial move to pardon reality TV couple Todd and Julie Chrisley may pay off for them — but at the cost of the people they’re accused of ripping off in the first place. If a defendant is ordered to pay restitution and is then pardoned, the restitution is scrubbed and no longer has to be paid, TMZ reported, citing federal law. But if some of that restitution was already paid, the presidential pardon can order those who collected it to repay the defendants. The stars of Chrisley Knows Best were convicted in 2022 of fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy related to over $36 million in fraudulent loans. They were also ordered to pay restitution. The Chrisleys’ lawyer told TMZ that they have indeed paid some of that restitution. Todd was slapped with a 12-year sentence, with Julie ordered to serve seven years. At least… ...[TheTopNews] Read More.

  • Nancy Mace Staffers Forced To Make ‘Burner Accounts’ To Defend and Boost Congresswoman Online: R...
Tom Williams/CQ Roll Call via AP Images Former staffers for Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) claimed they had to make “burner accounts” while working for the congresswoman so they could boost her image online and fight with critics. Jake Lahut reported for WIRED that “former staffers” of Mace claimed they were “setting up burner accounts on a variety of social media platforms to monitor what people were saying about her and bolster her image.” She would also encourage staffers to create personal burner accounts so they could defend her against critics, according to those staffers, all of whom chose to remain anonymous. “We had to make multiple accounts, burner accounts, and go and reply to comments, saying things that weren’t true—even Reddit forums,” one ex-employee said. “We were congressional staff, and there were actual things we could be doing to help the constituents.” Mace, a congresswoman who has made technology central… ...[TheTopNews] Read More.
