  • Jury finds Judge Hannah Dugan guilty of obstruction for helping an immigrant evade federal agents
    MILWAUKEE (AP) — A jury found a Wisconsin judge accused of helping a Mexican immigrant dodge federal authorities guilty of obstruction Thursday, marking a victory for President Donald Trump as he continues his sweeping immigration crackdown across the country. Federal prosecutors charged Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan with obstruction, a felony, and concealing an individual to prevent arrest, a misdemeanor, in April. The jury acquitted her on the concealment count, but she still faces up to five years in prison on the obstruction count. The jury returned the verdicts after deliberating for six hours.     WIZM News plans to live stream the implosion of the Black Hawk Bridge in Lansing, Iowa on Friday morning. CLICK TO WATCH The implosion is set for 9:30 a.m. according to Iowa and Wisconsin transportation officials. They’re stressing safety as the time nears for the event. In a news release, it said that the project contractors and subcontractors spoke to residents and property owners in the restricted area to provide voluntary home inspections and window protections.   • La Crosse County passes 21 age limit for THC products
    People under age 21 in La Crosse County will not be allowed to possess or use products containing cannabinoids. The La Crosse County Board passed that ordinance Thursday along with prohibiting the sale of hemp-derived products to customers under 21. The rule is generally aimed at the use of beverages and gummies that contain THC. A $1 fine for possession will remain while businesses selling to those inner 21 will be fined between $100-$500. Before Thursday’s ordinance addition there was no fine for selling or possession. The board changed the marijuana possession fine to $1 back in October.     Joel Brennan, a former top official in Gov. Tony Evers’ administration is running to succeed the two-term Democrat.
