    WIZMnews.com More than 100 people walked as a group through downtown La Crosse at midday on Thursday, promoting mental health awareness, following a ceremony at the county human services building. This is the 12th year of the event to inform the public about ways to deal with mental illness, and work to avoid suicide and other actions affected by a person’s mental condition. La Crosse County board chair Tina Tryggestad took time to thank health workers and volunteers, assisting people who struggle with mental health. “All of us deal with our own mental health every day, and being able to talk about it, and being able to be vulnerable really makes everyone more open,” said Tryggestad.
