Conservatives are turning up the heat on ABC over comments made by The View’s Ana Navarro on Monday. The network has been locked in a dispute with Donald Trump’s Federal Communications Commission over whether the talk show qualified as a news program which is exempt from political equal-time rules. Now, prominent voices on the right are calling out Navarro — claiming she may have run afoul of Federal Election Commission guidelines. During a discussion of one of Florida’s congressional seats, Navarro expressed her disgust with Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL), and seemed to encourage viewers to vote for her opponent. Navarro said: I had taken for granted this race because, she won two years ago by 20 points. This is a district that Donald Trump won by 15 points. So I thought, okay, no point in paying attention. The polls have her dead even! So, anybody who lives in Coral Gables, in Miami, in Key Biscayne, in downtown Miami, pay attention to that race and go vote, because it’s going to matter. We can actually knock this woman out! There is a great guy running, his name is Elliott Rodriguez (D). Give him a look.
