
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a person on Friday morning. According to a release from Captain Evan Mazur, shortly after 10 am, the sheriff’s office got a call of a suspicious vehicle at a home in the in the Town of Irving. The caller wanted someone to check on the person who lived in the home as the caller couldn’t reach them. At the same time, the sheriff’s office also got a 911 call saying an unidentified person was in the home. The sheriff’s office didn’t say who made the 911 call. Deputies and State Troopers responded. As they investigated, they found that the unidentified person became unresponsive. Despite medical care, the person was pronounced deceased. The sheriff’s office said their investigation is being assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol and Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation. The sheriff’s office said there’s no threat to the public at this time. No other information was released by the sheriff’s office.
