Lawo to Highlight Dynamic Media Facilities at IBC

Edge One promo image At the 2026 IBC show, Lawo said, it will demonstrate how software-based production has become operational reality.  “Visitors will experience new additions to the HOME ecosystem, the European premiere of Edge One, the latest software releases for the mc² production console family and Power Core, and a live implementation of Lawo’s Dynamic Media Facility (DMF) approach,” it said in a release. HOME is Lawo’s management and orchestration platform that enables device discovery, security, authentication and control across IP-based media infrastructures.  Combined with server-based processing microservices called HOME Apps, the platform allows processing resources to be deployed, scaled and reassigned wherever they are needed, independent of dedicated hardware. “A key highlight will be a live demonstration of Dynamic Media Facilities, showcasing how broadcasters can dynamically allocate processing resources across studios, central facilities, remote-production environments and hybrid infrastructures,” the company said. “Lawo will demonstrate a working production environment that proves that its software-based dynamic media facilities are a practical reality today, already deployed at critical broadcast productions of international sports events with significant savings in infrastructure.” Lawo will introduce two new HOME Apps for graphics processing. It also will make the European debut of Edge One, shown, a platform for broadcast and pro AV applications that combines video, audio, networking and processing capabilities and promises to makde edge connectivity significantly more flexible while reducing equipment footprint, cabling complexity, and deployment effort. It is available in audio, video and audio + video configurations.  Lawo also will highlight mc² Software Release 12.4, delivering workflow enhancements for live production and broadcast applications, and it will preview Release 12.6. Its latest Power Core software release adds support for Lawo OnAir Designer and introduces a five-band equalizer featuring four parametric bands plus an additional filter band. The enhancements are available in Power Core and the HOME Power Core App.  Lawo said they bring more processing flexibility and creative control for radio and broadcast applications.
