New Mobile App Helps Radio Stations Build Local Image Libraries
The CaptureRelay app is developed by SkyRocket Radio. The CaptureRelay mobile app, developed by SkyRocket Radio, is intended for radio stations to capture photos of local landmarks and insert them into their content management system. Available for iPhone and Android, CaptureRelay allows approved staff members to capture a photo, give it a title and send it into a station’s WordPress platform. “Beyond breaking news, CaptureRelay is designed to help stations build long-term collections of local photography,” a release said.  Each mobile device that uses the app must be approved by a website administrator before it can upload images, which allows stations control of who can contribute. The app optimizes photos for a website display and places them into WordPress’ media library, to be used in stories, galleries, contests or other content. SkyRocket Radio said the app is designed for station newsrooms, sales representatives, promotion teams, on-air personalities or any other personnel who spend their day in the community. The app is listed with a price of $4.99. A companion WordPress plugin is provided free and supports secure administrator approval, automatic updates, and delivery into the website’s WordPress media library. Skyrocket Radio, led by Jim Sherwood, provides website, mobile app and digital publishing solutions designed for radio stations.
