  • ‘He Looks Like a Dried Up Prune!’ Trump Loses It on Bruce Springsteen — Ca...
AP Photo/Ellen Schmidt President Donald Trump went on a rant against musician Bruce Springsteen in a Thursday morning Truth Social post, calling for a boycott and even targeting Springsteen’s looks. Trump called Springsteen a “total loser” with “Trump Derangement Syndrome” after Springsteen opened a recent show with a rant against the president and his policies. “Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Trump wrote. He then bragged about his 2024 presidential election win and encouraged people to avoid dropping money on seeing Springsteen perform his hits live. “The guy is a total loser who spews hate against a President who won a Landslide Election, including the popular vote, all Seven Swing States, and 86% of the Counties across America,” Trump wrote. “Under Sleepy Joe and the Dems, our Country was DEAD, and now we have the ‘tottest’ Country, by far, anywhere in the World. MAGA SHOULD BOYCOTT HIS OVERPRICED CONCERTS, WHICH SUCK. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.” Springsteen, a longtime critic of Trump and outspoken Democrat, went on a rant against the president during a recent performance in Minneapolis. Earlier this year, he released a song called “Streets of Minneapolis,” about the fatal shootings of American citizens Renee Good and Alex Pretti by federal immigration officials in the city of Minneapolis. Springsteen blasted the administration’s mass deportation policies and more at his Minneapolis concert. “This White House is destroying the American idea and our reputation around the world,” he told the crowd. “To many, we are no longer looked upon as an often imperfect but strong defender of democracy standing for the global good. We are no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave. We are now, to many, America the reckless, unpredictable, predatory rogue nation. That is this administration’s and this president’s legacy. This is happening now.”The post ‘He Looks Like a Dried Up Prune!’ Trump Loses It on Bruce Springsteen — Calls for a MAGA ‘BOYCOTT’ of His New Tour first appeared on Mediaite. [TheTopNews] Read More.

  • MS NOW Host Torpedoes Blizzard of Trump ‘Lies’ Seconds After Speech
MS NOW host Chris Hayes torpedoed what he called a “litany of lies” from President Donald Trump, seconds after the president’s address to the nation ended. As the Iran war enters its second month, even some of the president’s most fervent supporters have begun to question the strategy and the logic behind Operation Epic Fury. On Wednesday night, the president spoke to the nation for about 19 minutes in a speech that sent oil futures surging and did little to quiet critics. As the speech ended, Hayes dove right in to fact-check Trump and slam his outlook on the remainder of the war: MS NOW HOST CHRIS HAYES: Thank you very much and good night. That was the president of the United States with a 19-minute address from the Blue Room there in the White House addressing the war with Iran. If you were expecting something new, you did not get it. It was a litany of lies that he’s told before about facts of the matter, that Barack Obama gave the Iranians billions of dollars. He didn’t. It was repatriated assets that had been seized by the United States pursuant to that negotiated deal. That Iran was on the doorstep of nuclear weapon. There is literally no one who says they were. In fact, he himself said that the program had been obliterated, that there was a desire perhaps to rebuild it, but there was no doorstep that it was on. He said that 45,000 Iranians had been killed by the regime in the latest round of protests. That is an estimate that I have heard nowhere. The highest estimate I’ve heard is 35,000, that is contested very difficult to ascertain there were many many people killed by this regime, but 45,000 Is passed even the most aggressive estimates I’ve seen about that. He then basically said what he has been saying. That the objectives have been accomplished, that they have been decimated, that they will continue to pursue for two or three weeks. That they didn’t seek regime change, but the regime has changed. That if there are no negotiations, they will, the United States will send Iran, they, Iran as a country, meaning its 90 million people, back to the Stone Age where they belong and will commence, in the absence of negotiations, bombing electric plants, which would be a war crime, those are civilian infrastructure, and oil… [TheTopNews] Read More.

  • Fox’s Lawrence Jones Fumes at Colbert Roasting Trump Speech: ‘Rooting Agains...
Fox News host Lawrence Jones lambasted Late Show host Stephen Colbert on Thursday morning, calling the comic “shameful” for “rooting against the country” with an April Fool’s gag aimed at President Donald Trump. During a segment on Fox & Friends about Trump’s address to the nation on the war, Jones slammed the reaction by the legacy media to Trump’s Wednesday night speech. “But many people on the circuit and the late shows last night we’re expecting something different from the president,” Jones said as he introduced a montage of clips from CNN and MS NOW criticizing the president’s words. The last of which was Colbert saying, “It was a big night on all the broadcast networks. Donald Trump, at 9 o’clock gave a national, prime-time address. It was concise, intelligent, and brought the nation together with shared purpose.” As laughter erupted from his audience and band, Colbert exclaimed: “April Fool’s!” “Rooting against the country,” Jones said after playing the clip. “I think it’s shameful right now.” Jones added: “The president doesn’t deserve some credibility on it. He earned the credibility. We’ve had several military operations where we got in, got out. Seamless. No casualties at the time. Some of our trrops got injured, but they were flawless in a sense. And so now we have the big one, the big enchilada, that has been a threat for 47 years, and you mean to tell me you’re not going to give him any credibility on the operation?” Watch above via Fox News. The post Fox’s Lawrence Jones Fumes at Colbert Roasting Trump Speech: ‘Rooting Against the Country’ Is ‘Shameful!’ first appeared on Mediaite. • CNN’s Abby Phillip and Scott Jennings Battle It Out Over Who Benefits From Tru...
CNN senior political commentator Scott Jennings struggled to answer who Donald Trump’s war against Iran was really for as he butted heads with host Abby Phillip on Wednesday. “You know why NATO should care about this? It was just a couple of weeks ago that we learned that Iran has ballistic missile capabilities that can reach most of Europe,” argued Jennings during a debate on CNN NewsNight. “On top of that, does no one else here find it agitating that we spent billions and trillions of dollars over decades, we have U.S. troops stationed at all these bases, with all these allies, and then when we decide that we need to do something that is in our national security interest, you have supposed friends of the United States saying, ‘You can’t use these bases, we’re not gonna permit this, we’re not gonna help you on that’? It is agitating.” CNN host Abby Phillip replied, “But doesn’t NATO have a say in how they deal with the threat?” She questioned, “Don’t you think NATO ought to have a say, European countries ought to have a say, in how you address that threat? I’m not disagreeing with you about the threat, but shouldn’t they be consulted? Aren’t they not right to wonder why weren’t they consulted before Trump decided to wage a war? It sounds like you think it’s in their defense. Shouldn’t they have been consulted?” “Well, it is. It is in the defense of all of Europe now that we see that the ballistic missile threat is real,” claimed Jennings, to which Phillip pressed, “But Scott, should they have been consulted?” “Consulted?” asked Jennings, before shrugging. “I mean, look, we decided it was in our national security interest. Why they don’t understand that it is in theirs is beyond me.” Phillip shot back, “Oh, OK. So if it’s about our national security interests, that makes sense, right? But if it’s in theirs, they should be consulted. If this war is about Europe’s security, shouldn’t Europe be consulted?” “It’s about our national security, but along the way here, what we’ve all learned is that Europe is under threat,” argued Jennings, to which Phillip pointed out, “If this is about us, this is our war.” Meidas Touch’s Adam Mockler jumped in, “You said this was our national security interest.” “It is our national security interest,” replied Jennings. “OK, so then why is… [TheTopNews] Read More.

  • ‘Amazing Moment!’ Joe Scarborough Beams Over Justice Roberts’s ‘New Worl...
Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough reveled in one moment from Wednesday’s Supreme Court hearing on birthright citizenship, when Chief Justice John Roberts flatlined President Donald Trump’s “caveman lawyer” with what the host called the “quote of the year.” Roberts signaled skepticism as he heard oral arguments over the Trump administration’s bid to overturn a lower court decision blocking the president’s executive order aimed at ending birthright citizenship. Representing the administration, Solicitor General John Sauer told the justices that the 14th Amendment, which guarantees citizenship to anyone born in the United States, has been wrongly interpreted over time. Opening Thursday’s Morning Joe, however, Scarborough rolled back one clip that he beamed “wraps it all up” when, as Trump’s lawyer complained that “8 billion people” were “one plane ride away” from having a child with U.S. citizenship only for Roberts to quip: “It’s a new world. It’s the same constitution.” As co-host Mika Brzezinski attempted to push on with commentary, Scarborough interrupted: “Can we just stop? Can we can we just stop for one second and just say, when you hear the quote of the year, you just want to just stop and you want it to wash over you. You want it to wash over you.” “This is what we’ve been hearing [from the Trump administration], for oh-so-long now: ‘This is a new world. We have new challenges. It’s never been this bad. We’ve got to shred the constitution –’ and so yesterday, this poor John Sauer guy who we’re going to get to the point where he’s trying to explain to Neil Gorsuch why Native Americans don’t have birthright citizenship,” the host quipped. Rounding on Sauer’s confrontation with Gorsuch, Scarborough said: “Maybe he just doesn’t know – it’s all so confusing, he’s just a caveman lawyer, how could he try to figure out whether people have been here hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years before white people even showed up, might have birthright citizenship.” The host returned to Roberts’s clapback and continued: “But in this particular moment, Donald Trump’s solicitor general, he goes, ‘Well, you know, Mr. Chief Justice –’ well, now let me get that voice, right. “‘Well, you know, Mr. Chief justice, this is a new world and there are new challenges,’” Scarborough said, pitching his voice to mock Sauer’s gravelly tone, before adding: “To which John Roberts said, ‘Well, you may be right. This… [TheTopNews] Read More.
