AP Photo/Ellen Schmidt President Donald Trump went on a rant against musician Bruce Springsteen in a Thursday morning Truth Social post, calling for a boycott and even targeting Springsteen’s looks. Trump called Springsteen a “total loser” with “Trump Derangement Syndrome” after Springsteen opened a recent show with a rant against the president and his policies. “Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Trump wrote. He then bragged about his 2024 presidential election win and encouraged people to avoid dropping money on seeing Springsteen perform his hits live. “The guy is a total loser who spews hate against a President who won a Landslide Election, including the popular vote, all Seven Swing States, and 86% of the Counties across America,” Trump wrote. “Under Sleepy Joe and the Dems, our Country was DEAD, and now we have the ‘tottest’ Country, by far, anywhere in the World. Earlier this year, he released a song called “Streets of Minneapolis,” about the fatal shootings of American citizens Renee Good and Alex Pretti by federal immigration officials in the city of Minneapolis. Springsteen blasted the administration’s mass deportation policies and more at his Minneapolis concert. “This White House is destroying the American idea and our reputation around the world,” he told the crowd. “To many, we are no longer looked upon as an often imperfect but strong defender of democracy standing for the global good. MS NOW host Chris Hayes torpedoed what he called a “litany of lies” from President Donald Trump, seconds after the president’s address to the nation ended. As the Iran war enters its second month, even some of the president’s most fervent supporters have begun to question the strategy and the logic behind Operation Epic Fury. On Wednesday night, the president spoke to the nation for about 19 minutes in a speech that sent oil futures surging and did little to quiet critics. Fox News host Lawrence Jones lambasted Late Show host Stephen Colbert on Thursday morning, calling the comic “shameful” for “rooting against the country” with an April Fool’s gag aimed at President Donald Trump. During a segment on Fox & Friends about Trump’s address to the nation on the war, Jones slammed the reaction by the legacy media to Trump’s Wednesday night speech. “But many people on the circuit and the late shows last night we’re expecting something different from the president,” Jones said as he introduced a montage of clips from CNN and MS NOW criticizing the president’s words. CNN senior political commentator Scott Jennings struggled to answer who Donald Trump’s war against Iran was really for as he butted heads with host Abby Phillip on Wednesday. “You know why NATO should care about this? It was just a couple of weeks ago that we learned that Iran has ballistic missile capabilities that can reach most of Europe,” argued Jennings during a debate on CNN NewsNight. “On top of that, does no one else here find it agitating that we spent billions and trillions of dollars over decades, we have U.S. troops stationed at all these bases, with all these allies, and then when we decide that we need to do something that is in our national security interest, you have supposed friends of the United States saying, ‘You can’t use these bases, we’re not gonna permit this, we’re not gonna help you on that’? Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough reveled in one moment from Wednesday’s Supreme Court hearing on birthright citizenship, when Chief Justice John Roberts flatlined President Donald Trump’s “caveman lawyer” with what the host called the “quote of the year.” Roberts signaled skepticism as he heard oral arguments over the Trump administration’s bid to overturn a lower court decision blocking the president’s executive order aimed at ending birthright citizenship. Representing the administration, Solicitor General John Sauer told the justices that the 14th Amendment, which guarantees citizenship to anyone born in the United States, has been wrongly interpreted over time. Opening Thursday’s Morning Joe, however, Scarborough rolled back one clip that he beamed “wraps it all up” when, as Trump’s lawyer complained that “8 billion people” were “one plane ride away” from having a child with U.S. citizenship only for Roberts to quip: “It’s a new world.
