A La Crosse organization, based at Myrick Park, is getting attention from the governor’s office for its use of clean energy. Gov. Tony Evers toured the Nature Place on Tuesday morning, as part of his campaign to promote solar energy and other types of power. Evers says Wisconsin is making good progress in using clean energy, compared to what he sees as a national focus on fossil fuels. Evers says that in Washington, “they’re more concerned about drill, baby, drill, and what’s happening here in La Crosse is even better.” Governor Evers touches a snake at a lab inside the Nature Place. The Nature Place had a ribbon-cutting last September for the solar panels now used on the building’s roof. Evers also traveled to Superior on Tuesday, to see a “solar garden” in that city that includes a pollinator garden. The post Gov.
