One of the other speakers, Father Ambrose Criste, said the day has been encouraging and edifying for those who have watched and listened to those who spoke. He said he was encouraged by the message shared by Cardinal Burke to the crowd and those watching on the livestream. For those who aren’t Catholic and didn’t see the rally, he shared this message. “I would say that patriotism is a virtue. That our love for our country is part of what it means to be a human being. And so, the more we can lean into our love for our country, the more we are living authentically as human beings. So, that’s irrespective of our religious belief. It’s just part of what it means to be a human being, is to have this affection and fondness for, and really a love for our homeland, the place of our birth, and the place that provides so much for us and our nation. So, we have a lot to be grateful for.” Father Criste said there’s no better time to be alive in America, despite its current challenges. When asked if part of the message from the rally was looking for a better future, he agreed but said it can be easy to become nostalgic for the past. “Some of which we may have lived, and some which we have not lived, but we fondly think back to, many, even 250 years ago. But in fact, every age and day had its challenges. And so, it’s really important for us to be hopeful for the… [TheTopNews] Read More.1 day ago - Mark Levin Urges Trump to ‘Finish’ Off Iran, Warns Theocratic Leaders ‘Wil...
Fox News anchor Mark Levin urged President Donald Trump to “finish” the military campaign against Iran and wipe out the country’s theocratic regime, since history shows they “will never abide” by a deal the U.S. cuts with them. Levin made his case on his Life, Liberty, and Levin program on Saturday night — one day before Trump said a deal with Iran is expected to be signed. “A memorandum of understanding, from my perspective, or a final deal will not matter to the Iranian regime,” Levin said. “It will not matter to the Iranian regime, even if they sign on the dotted line tomorrow, the next day, whenever. Or if they are bombed into signing — one or the other, or both, at some point. They will never abide by any of it.” Levin continued, arguing the Shia Islamic leaders of Iran are incapable of honoring a deal. He said: They cannot [abide], they cannot. Because as a matter of religious and political ideology [and] doctrine, they will not in the end bend to the demands of the great Satan. They will not bend to the demands of the very people and society and government they exist to destroy by any means necessary. They would be committing an act of defiance against Allah, for whom they are committed to die. We and they are on two totally different wavelengths. Totally different wavelengths. They view the act of diplomacy as a last resort, but as a resort to survive. For them to survive, and ultimately for us to lose. Levin said a few minutes later he believed Trump’s relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be viewed just like the Franklin Delano Roosevelt–Winston Churchill relationship from World War II. But he said he wants to see both sides move forward with wiping out Iran’s regime, rather than cutting a deal. “I continue to truly believe we should finish the spectacular military achievements we have won on the Iranian people and get it over with. I truly do,” Levin said. “The mass-murdering death cult that is the Iranian regime is not going to commit suicide.” Levin’s comments stand out, considering he has been of Trump’s biggest supporters in recent years. He hailed Trump as the “first Jewish president” at a Hanukkah event last winter, and applauded Trump for launching the war against Iran at the end of February. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite) President Donald Trump’s $14 million Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool renovation couldn’t stop algae from blooming in the D.C. heat and turning the water a murky shade of green once again. The unsightly hue plagued the pool just in time for an estimated 125,000 people to descend on Washington for Trump’s “Freedom 250” UFC fights on the White House lawn for his birthday on Sunday — despite work crews spreading chlorine pellets to try to deter algae growth. The Washington Post reported that the bloom “expanded between Wednesday and Thursday amid wet and warm weather.” Katie Martin, a spokeswoman for the Interior Department, said in a statement, “What you are seeing is residual algae from the supply lines which have been sitting dormant for eight weeks while construction has been taking place. It’s part of the normal startup process. “We are removing the algae, and the nanobubblers will maintain the pool and keep it algae free. President Donald J. Trump is an expert builder who has fixed the Reflecting Pool for good unlike the failed and extremely costly attempt by Obama and Biden.” Whether the pool remains algae-free remains to be seen, however. As Trump was having the pool bottom coated a shade of “American flag blue” to show off the “beautiful, clean water,” The New York Times raised concerns about what the renovation project was lacking. According to the paper, the project ignored a “major underlying problem” with old, leaky pipes that it said would still allow algae to grow and cover up its new blue shade. Experts told the Times that unless the underlying problem with the leaky pipes was fixed, “the algae could come back.” “If that happens, the pool’s newly waterproofed blue floor could again be invisible under a layer of green murk,” the report said, a prediction that came true just days after the pool was refilled. During Trump’s first term, the Park Service said, “the only solution was to replace thousands of feet of pipe. But it has still not done so,” the report said, adding, “The Trump administration has said it plans to have that work begin in the fall, but has declined to give details.” The administration offered a no-bid contract to a Virginia company that hiked the prices from $1.8 million to $13.1 million in an effort to finish the job before the country’s birthday celebrations. The final… [TheTopNews] Read More.1 day ago
