- Elon Musk Vows to Sue ‘Liar’ Democratic Lawmaker Who Suggested He Killed 4.5...
(Photos via: Jose Luis Magana and Lenin Nolly) Elon Musk said he is going to sue Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) on Monday, one day after the liberal lawmaker claimed the SpaceX boss “possibly sentenced to death” 4.5 million kids with his DOGE budget cuts. “Time to sue this liar,” Musk posted in response to a New York Post story about Khanna’s comments. He followed that up 17 minutes later with a post explaining how DOGE went about cutting funds: The standard applied by DOGE was very simple and easy: Provide contact information for the recipients of aid, so that we can confirm it is not fraudulent. The reality is that money was being sent to corrupt politicians under the guise of aid! Liars and stock insider traders like Ro the Robber should be in prison!! Musk’s lawsuit threat comes after Khanna said the Tesla CEO needs to be probed as soon as Democrats are back in control of Congress. “He needs to be subpoenaed, he needs to face investigation, he needs to answer for what he did with DOGE. It’s not just ‘let’s move on,” Khanna said on the I’ve Had It podcast. Khanna told co-host Jennifer Welch a moment earlier that many people were celebrating Musk making thousands of SpaceX employees millionaires recently when the rocket company went public. But that means nothing when compared to the damage Musk has inflicted on humanity, according to Khanna. “Once we take power, there needs to be accountability. There needs to be accountability for Elon Musk,” Khanna continued. “You know, they’re celebrating that he created 4,400 millionaires, but they don’t talk about the 4.5 million children around the world who he possibly sentenced to death by dismantling USAID.” Welch said she couldn’t agree more with Khanna. She called it disgusting to see people celebrating Musk making other people millionaires while overlooking the government cuts he spearheaded while leading DOGE for President Donald Trump. Khanna’s criticism of Musk stood out, considering his district includes Fremont – where 20,000 people work at the Tesla factory. Musk became the world’s first trillionaire following SpaceX’s IPO, which has led to a fair amount of criticism from liberals and media pundits lately. Former New York Times columnist Paul Krugman said only a “rigged system” could allow Musk to get so wealthy, while talking heads on CNN and MS NOW lamented that a “white supremacist” like Musk was the world’s first trillionaire. Musk in the past has said claims he is a… [TheTopNews] Read More.58 mins ago - ‘Laundering Antisemitism’: Mamdani Sparks Firestorm on the Left by Calling A...
(AP Photo/Ryan Murphy) New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) sparked a fierce debate over the weekend after he called AIPAC “monsters” during a Brooklyn rally late last week for his slate of candidates in New York’s primary night on Tuesday. Mamdani was joined by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) at the rally, which promoted candidates mostly affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America, a party known for its vehement anti-Israel posture. The rally included two House candidates in former city comptroller Brad Lander and Darializa Avila Chevalier, who helped organize the controversial protest encampment at Columbia University. “And we need that because, as Gramsci once wrote, ‘The old world is dying, and the new world struggles to be born. Now is the time of monsters,’” Mamdani said during his speech, quoting the Marxist philosopher Antonio Francesco Gramsci. “These monsters take many forms today: in those who fund television ads that blanket the airwaves with misleading and bad-faith attacks about Claire, Brad, and Dari; those who would rather spend far more on political contributions than they would ever be made to pay in taxes; in AIPAC, for whom the only thing more frightening than democracy being allowed to run its course is an end to the genocide in Netanyahu’s wars,” he continued, adding: They move millions in dark money to accomplish a single goal: to preserve their power, so that they can turn us against one another instead of turning our leaders toward the moral change we all know to be necessary. In a politics that for too long has asked working people to lower their expectations, to settle for less, to become satisfied with small victories while our wages grow even smaller and our costs grow even larger; to resign ourselves to resignation, to accept the unacceptable. In the wealthiest city, in the wealthiest country in the history of the world, we need not live in fear of monsters any longer. Mamdani’s remarks quickly went viral online and sparked fierce criticism from the right and within his own party. Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) shared the clip and added, “‘Monsters.’ ‘Dark money.’ A hidden hand ‘turning us against one another.’ Swap ‘AIPAC’ for ‘Jews’ and it’s the oldest antisemitic conspiracy theory in the books. That’s not criticizing a lobby.” He added: That’s laundering antisemitism from your podium as Mayor of a city with more than a million Jews. This bullshit is… [TheTopNews] Read More.59 mins ago - Send your midterm elections questions for Steve Kornacki

(Steve Karnowski/AP photo) A federal judge has thrown out Justice Department grand jury subpoenas targeting Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D) and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) after ruling they were part of a revenge campaign by the Trump administration. U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota Chief Judge Patrick Schiltz, who was appointed to the bench by President George W. Bush, tossed the subpoenas on Monday, calling them “blatantly unlawful.” “Initiating a criminal investigation in order to harass political opponents or to coerce them into taking official action-particularly official action that the federal government cannot directly require those political opponents to take-is a blatantly unlawful and unethical use the grand-jury process,” the ruling reads. The document goes on: “The only question, then, is whether the challenged subpoenas were issued for one of these forbidden purposes. The Court has no doubt that they were.” Walz and Frey — along with Attorney General Keith Ellison (D), St. Paul Mayor Kaohly Her (D), and officials in Ramsey and Hennepin counties — were subpoenaed back in January as part of a Department of Justice obstruction probe related to immigration enforcement in the state. In a statement posted to X after the judge’s ruling, Walz said it was “a victory for the rule of law and our democracy.” “An independent judiciary is a pillar of our democracy,” Walz said. “It’s one reason why the U.S. has been that shining city on the hill for nearly 250 years.” I will never stop exercising my constitutional rights to stand up for Minnesotans and the American freedoms we hold dear. My full statement on DOJ’s politically motivated investigation: pic.twitter.com/BpceHPN2yD — Governor Tim Walz (@GovTimWalz) June 22, 2026 Frey told the Associated Press that the probe into him and the other officials was “never about justice, law, and order, but the absence of it,” adding, “Subpoenaing political opponents because they spoke on behalf of their constituents violates the core tenets of our democracy and human decency.” The subpoenas were issued a week after President Donald Trump threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act if the “corrupt politicians of Minnesota” failed to “stop” widespread and ongoing ICE protests across the state. “If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT, which many Presidents… [TheTopNews] Read More.1 hour ago - What happens if you don’t pay a deceased person’s credit card debt?
