  • ‘RIGGED ELECTION!’ Trump Absolutely Loses It Over Democrats’ Big Gerrymand...
(Screenshot) President Donald Trump deemed the Virginia referendum on a ballot question to allow the state to push through a heavy-handed Democratic gerrymander in Old Dominion a “RIGGED ELECTION” in a furious Wednesday afternoon Truth Social post. “A RIGGED ELECTION TOOK PLACE LAST NIGHT IN THE GREAT COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA! All day long Republicans were winning, the Spirit was unbelievable, until the very end when, of course, there was a massive ‘Mail In Ballot Drop!’ Where have I heard that before — And the Democrats eked out another Crooked Victory!” wrote the president while referencing his unfounded claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him. “Six [Democratic-leaning congressional districts] to five [Republican-leaning districts] goes to ten to one, and yet the Presidential Election in November was very close to a 50-50 split. In addition to everything else, the language on the Referendum was purposefully unintelligible and deceptive. As everyone knows, I am an extraordinarily brilliant person, and even I had no idea what the hell they were talking about in the Referendum, and neither do they! Let’s see if the Courts will fix this travesty of ‘Justice.'” While Trump strenuously objected to the Democrats’ mid-decade gerrymander in Virginia, he had previously urged Republicans in Indiana and Texas to take up similar projects. Shortly before he sounded off, Trump’s deputy chief of staff, James Blair, took to CNN to argue that the results of the referendum suggest the GOP may heavily outperform expectations in November. “This is a state in November of 2025 that went by 15 points to the Democrats for governor and about eight points for attorney general. Last night, this was a three-point race. That’s actually a three-point overperformance of the Trump 2024 historic performance in Virginia,” Blair told Dana Bash. “So just as a baseline for all the Democrats crowing this morning. If Republicans perform anywhere near on average the way they did in Virginia last night, we not only add seats to the Senate, but we add seats to the House, and we have a historic midterm.” The operative is currently on a leave of absence from the White House to run Trump’s midterm political operation. The post ‘RIGGED ELECTION!’ Trump Absolutely Loses It Over Democrats’ Big Gerrymandering Win first appeared on Mediaite. • ‘Don’t Laugh — Inappropriate!’ CNN Anchors Caught Off Guard by Surprise ...
CNN anchors Sara Sidner and Kate Bolduan were caught off guard by a surprise twist in a report on price inflation due to President Donald Trump’s war with Iran. Concern over high gas prices has been a main feature of the war as the closure and blockade and reopening and reclosing of the Strait of Hormuz have choked off oil supplies. But other petroleum products have also experienced price spikes and shortages due to the closure. On Wednesday’s edition of CNN News Central, CNN Business executive editor David Goldman drew surprised laughter from Sidner and Bolduan when he sprang the news on them that the price of condoms is on the way up: DAVID GOLDMAN: I mean, we’ve been talking about gas prices is the big consumer impact in the United States. SARA SIDNER: Yeah. GOLDMAN: That’s for good reason, right? Prices already went up to $4.00. That’s painful. It was painful immediately and it was painful broadly. But in Asia it is so much worse. They’re rationing fuel there. They have a plastic bag problem in South Korea where people are hoarding them because they can’t get them. And most importantly, in Japan, there are medical supply shortages in some hospitals. So for everything that we’re experiencing in the United States it’s worse in Asia. And because of the problem — because they rely so heavily on the Middle East for all of their supplies it could get so much worse here because as you said, they make half of the stuff that we buy. So if factories can’t get aluminum or plastic, they can’t make the things that we buy in the United States and that’s when we start thinking about shortages. It’s not a problem right now- SIDNER: Yeah. GOLDMAN: — but it could become a problem not only because of this — because factories don’t have the supplies, but also because workers might not be able to even get to work if they can’t get the fuel. By the end of the month, right, 700 million barrels of oil could have evaporated from the world because the Strait of Hormuz is closed. That’s according to Keplr. That’s a huge amount of oil. So if you have to start rationing fuel, how do you even fill up your car or your scooter, or whatever it is that you’re using to get to work to make the stuff that… [TheTopNews] Read More.

  • ‘Historic’: Trump Campaign Honcho Makes Stunning Midterm Prediction After Vi...
James Blair, the deputy White House chief of staff who’s taken a leave of absence to lead President Donald Trump’s midterm political operation, made a stunning prediction on CNN Wednesday afternoon. After making note of Democrats’ successful effort to push through a mid-decade redistricting plan to do away with all but one Republican congressional district in Virginia, anchor Dana Bash kicked off her interview of Blair by asking: “What is your diagnosis for why you and Republicans failed to push back the Democrats’ redistricting plan?” “Well, first, I would reframe that in Virginia. So this is a state in November of 2025 that went by 15 points to the Democrats for governor and about eight points for attorney general. Last night, this was a three-point race. That’s actually a three-point overperformance of the Trump 2024 historic performance in Virginia. So just as a baseline for all the Democrats crowing this morning. If Republicans perform anywhere near on average the way they did in Virginia last night, we not only add seats to the Senate, but we add seats to the House, and we have a historic midterm,” replied Blair. “It was very close last night. There’s a backlash to the fact that they were not honest, and the same is going to be true in November. They don’t have policies to run on, they don’t have a vision to run. We’re going to make them litigate the question of their policies in November. And again, if it turns out the way it did last night, Democrats are not going to win the majority in either chamber.” “But it is a win. I mean, if just-, if you use that sort of paradigm and look ahead to November, if Republicans almost keep control of the House, it’s still a loss,” shot back Bash. “Yeah, what I expect is that when all of this redistricting sort of continues this cycle is that there will be a narrow advantage for Republicans. I think that’s the reality,” argued Blair. “And what’s really important is Democrats started this like years ago, and they do it through the courts. They take a different tactic, but they’ve gone through, and badgered, and jury-shopped. I mean, in Utah last week, NBC reported that there may have been an improper relationship between the League of Women Voters plaintiff lawyer and the judge that ruled on the maps… [TheTopNews] Read More.

  • Trump Celebrates as Iran Reverses Course on 8 Female Protesters Set to Be Hanged...
(Alex Brandon/AP photo/X) President Donald Trump on Wednesday celebrated Iran agreeing to free eight female protesters who were set to be publicly hanged later in the day, with the president saying Iran’s unnamed theocratic leaders “respected [his] request” to halt the executions. Trump announced the deal via his Truth Social account on Wednesday, one day after he urged Iran not to kill the women. Here is his full post on Truth Social about it: Very good news! I have just been informed that the eight women protestors who were going to be executed tonight in Iran will no longer be killed. Four will be released immediately, and four will be sentenced to one month in prison. I very much appreciate that Iran, and its leaders, respected my request, as President of the United States, and terminated the planned execution. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP The day before, Trump posted he would “greatly appreciate” the release of the eight women. “Please do them no harm! Would be a great start to our negotiations!!!” Trump said on Tuesday. There are not a ton of details on the women who were facing execution. Trump’s Tuesday plea was in response to a post from pro-Israel activist Eyal Yakoby, who shared a picture of the eight women on X. The New York Post identified one of them as Bita Hemmati, a “protester arrested during the anti-regime demonstrations in January.” Hemmati was accused of multiple crimes by Iran’s regime, including throwing objects like concrete blocks and using explosives, as well as protesting, according to the Post report.  Two other women were identified in the pictures as having participated in anti-regime protests — 33-year-old Mahboubeh Shabani and 16-year-old Diana Taherabadi. Trump’s post thanking Iran comes as he looks to strike another deal to end the war. He has given Iran a 3-5 day extension on the ceasefire that was set to expire on Wednesday. The post Trump Celebrates as Iran Reverses Course on 8 Female Protesters Set to Be Hanged: ‘Respected My Request’ first appeared on Mediaite. • ‘You Did It!’ Harry Enten Congratulates House Republicans on Shocking 89-Poi...
CNN Senior Data Correspondent Harry Enten joined anchor Sara Sidner on Wednesday and broke down some of the latest polling surrounding the approval of the GOP-led Congress – numbers that showed a stunning collapse of support among Republicans. “You know, I just want to say to Congress, stand up and applaud. You’re usually hated, but usually not this hated. You’re reaching, or at least tying, record highs in terms of disapproval,” Enten began, adding: Hello! 86 percent. 86 percent of Americans disapprove of Congress. That is tied with November of 2013 for the all-time high. As I said, Congress usually hated, but usually not this hated. You’re actually managing to tie records. Just 10% of Americans approve of the job that Congress is doing. So therefore, as I said, stand up and give yourselves a round of applause. You managed to do it. Congratulations. Sidner replied, “Or walk away in shame. This 10% approval rate — give us some context to what all of this means in comparison with other things.” Enten replied with some eye-popping comparisons, “OK, so you see this 10% approval and I just was searching my house like, OK, what else basically has 10% of the population by their side? Just take a look here. OK, Americans who say that the moon landing was faked back in 1969 — Sara’s over on the side laughing — more Americans say that the moon landing was fake back in 1969 than actually approve of the job that Congress is doing right now at 10%. That 10% is equal to the percentage of Americans that believe that the Earth is flat. Of course, we did not fake the moon landing. We did land on the moon. And of course, the Earth is actually a sphere, my dear friends.” Sidner quipped, “That’s the one that made me laugh.” Enten agreed, “Yes. It’s not flat. You can’t walk off the edge of the earth, but apparently the same percentage believe that Congress is doing a job well done.” “That is brutal. When you look at this, what does this tell you about sort of where Americans’ minds are and why they are so annoyed or pissed with Congress?” Sidner pressed. Enten answered, “Yeah, ‘pissed’ is a great word, ‘perturbed’ is another one. I like my P’s early in the morning. But I would just say this: you see this… [TheTopNews] Read More.

  • Georgia Democrat David Scott Dead at 80
(Bill Clark/CQ Roll Call via AP Images) U.S. Rep. David Scott (D-GA), who has served in the U.S. House of Representatives for 23 years after winning 12 terms, has died. He was 80 years old. As noted in a report from Politico, news of Scott’s death was announced by Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) during a Wednesday committee hearing. In recent years, Scott’s colleagues had become increasingly concerned about the longtime representative’s health. Multiple anonymous Democrats said in 2022 that Scott, the chair of the Agriculture Committee at the time, was “unable to maintain control of routine committee hearings.” Two years later, Scott made headlines when he yelled at a member of the press for taking his photograph as he was entering the Capitol building. At the time, Scott was in a wheelchair. Scott was seeking a 13th term in the House. Congress has had numerous deaths in just the past year. Last May, 75-year-old Democrat Gerry Connolly died following a battle with esophageal cancer; and 65-year-old Republican Doug LaMalfa died suddenly in January 2026. At the time of writing, the House of Representatives totaled 430.The post Georgia Democrat David Scott Dead at 80 first appeared on Mediaite. [TheTopNews] Read More.
