The exchange kicked off on Thursday with Bruesewitz writing, “Believe it or not attacking Democrats over their relationships with a streamer (Hasan Piker) wasn’t an effective hit. The Department of Homeland Security announced the Thursday arrest of an illegal alien from Venezuela named Ronny Yordrix Guanipa Chrinos who had multiple guns in his vehicle near the White House. Secret Service officers approached the man after noticing him acting “suspicious,” authorities said. His vehicle, which was reported stolen, was parked on Constitution Avenue. When he was approached by officers, he admitted that he ” heard voices in his head telling him to come to Washington, D.C. and kill President Trump.” The man’s stolen vehicle had three firearms, including a rifle, and dozens of rounds of ammunition. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said in a statement: Thanks to our brave Secret Service officers, this illegal alien with three firearms in his vehicle was arrested near the White House before he could harm anyone. On top of threatening President Trump, he is an illegal alien from Venezuela who had no business being in our country in the first place. The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman argued Stephen Miller’s ascension to White House chief of staff likely buys Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth more time as he faces a possible impeachment and more. Haberman joined Kaitlan Collins on Friday evening on CNN’s The Source following President Donald Trump announcing that Miller will be replacing Susie Wiles as chief of staff in the administration. The president had reportedly been “furious” with Wiles after Republicans lost majorities in the House and Senate during the midterms. Screenshot The Pentagon announced the formation of a new task force meant to keep Iran from transporting weapons via the ground, despite President Donald Trump’s repeated assurances that Iran’s military capabilities have been “destroyed.” A day after the State Department announced a $20 million reward for information on Iran’s nuclear program, including “possible relocation” for those who share tips, the Pentagon is also indicating the Iran war is far from over. Task Force Iron Gate will include 20 civilians and military personnel in Tampa, Florida, U.S. Central Command announced Saturday. From Florida, the group is expected to be able to “monitor, detect and disrupt,” any attempt by Iran to move weapons or “other materials” via the ground. Centcom said in a news release: On Nov. 7, the commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) directed the establishment of a task force that will support ongoing U.S. government efforts to prevent Iran from using ground routes to transport advanced weapons and other materials. Adm. Brad Cooper has directed the formation of Task Force Iron Gate, an internal staff of approximately 20 civilian and military personnel based in Tampa, Florida. The new CENTCOM team will coordinate with other U.S. government agencies on preventing the movement of advanced weapons systems, dual-use technologies, sanctioned materials, and illegal revenue streams across Iran’s land borders and the Caspian Sea. “The establishment of Task Force Iron Gate reinforces the success of our ironclad blockade against Iran at sea,” said Cooper. “Strengthening CENTCOM’s collaboration with U.S. interagency partners will further constrain Iran’s ability to finance terrorism, rebuild weapons factories, and replenish their military.” In recent months, America’s naval blockade has prevented Iran from exporting more than $25 billion in crude oil. In an Atlantic report about the exit of Susie Wiles from her chief of staff role at the White House, it was revealed that a plan to jail journalists is in consideration in the administration. Wiles reportedly pushed back on such a plan while Miller gave it his endorsement. According to the report, which cites multiple people familiar with the situation, President Donald Trump has been pressing the DOJ to pursue criminal cases against people who leak information to the media on “national security grounds.” Various “tactics” have been discussed, including arresting journalists to push them into revealing their sources.
