- Top Trump Donor Miriam Adelson’s Newspaper Runs Scathing Open Letter to Prez: ...
(Alex Brandon/AP photo) An Israeli newspaper owned and published by Donald Trump megadonor Miriam Adelson attacked the president on Friday in open letter about his Iran peace agreement, accusing him of “betraying” Israel and declaring he has “failed.” With the scathing headline, “You could have been the greatest president of all, but you failed,” Danny Zaken wrote directly to Trump in a letter published in Israel Hayom — Israel’s most widely distributed paper. Zaken argued to Trump that he “may be remembered forever as the president who brought about America’s humiliation.” He wrote: And from where I sit, near Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the people of Israel since the days of the kingdoms of David and Solomon, I say to you: You made a colossal mistake. You failed by signing a surrender agreement with a murderous and cruel terror regime. You severely harmed American interests and the democratic and human values of the enlightened world, and you turned over the hourglass toward the next war, which your successors will have to deal with in the years to come. Zaken also rebuked Trump over his use of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s nickname. “Two weeks ago, someone in your circle made sure to leak the sharp conversation you had with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,” he wrote. “And I deliberately emphasize the full title. He is not ‘Bibi.’ He is the elected prime minister of the independent and sovereign State of Israel, as would be anyone else sitting in his chair.” Zaken went on: “And I am trying, and failing, to understand what caused this absurd change of direction, so contrary to everything you have said and done until now. The midterm elections are a flimsy excuse. You are in your second term, and the surrender memorandum of understanding will hurt the Republicans more than it will help them.” He concluded with “one last word”: We feel betrayed, nothing less, because your heart was, it seemed, in the right place, with all your flaws. You acted against it. You lost your patience and your moral and leadership compass. Only if you walk this back and avoid reaching a final agreement with Iran might there be a correction. It’s not the first time Trump and the paper, which was started by the late casino magnate Sheldon Adelson in 2007, have been at odds. In 2024, then-presidential candidate Trump lumped Israel Hayom… [TheTopNews] Read More.2 hours ago - ‘I Stand By What I Said!’: Republican Lawmaker Gets Testy as He’s Confront...
Things got heated on Morning Joe on Friday as Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) was confronted with a past statement on Iran negotiations under former President Joe Biden as he defended current negotiations by President Donald Trump and his administration. Turner joined Morning Joe where he defended a 14-point agreement laid out between the United States and Iran, which was supposed to formally be signed by Vice President JD Vance in Switzerland on Friday, but that trip was postponed amid Israeli strikes against the Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon, an area covered in the ceasefire agreement. The White House chalked up the postponement to logistical issues. The deal has received bipartisan backlash, with even some of Trump’s most vocal supporters taking issue with what the agreement suggests Iran will receive, which would be a lifting of sanctions, a reconstruction investment fund, and more. Turner argued on Friday that the agreement is an initial outline for a larger agreement. Bulwark managing editor Sam Stein at one point read from a 2021 statement from Turner when he warned Biden should not reenter negotiations with Iran without “securing permanent prohibitions.” Turner was a critic of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) negotiated with Iran under former President Barack Obama. Stein said: The other thing I want to read is a statement you put out. Date is February 18th, 2021. This occurs in the context of the Biden administration deciding to restart negotiations with Iran after the Trump administration had pulled out of the JCPOA. As you know, the Biden administration considered trying to reenter it. You said in the statement, you said this, the JCPOA is a significantly flawed agreement where major provisions are set to expire and the Biden administration should not reenter into negotiations with Iran without securing permanent prohibitions. On Iran nuclear ambitions, to be clear, they should not reenter into negotiations, which is what the Trump administration is doing right now, without Iran without securing permanent prohibitions on nuclear ambitions. Do you consider Iran’s pledge, which they made during the JCPOA, which you criticized, that they will not seek a nuclear weapon to be a permanent prohibition on their nuclear ambitions? If not, what changed? Turner responded by noting that Stein read from the JCPOA, which had a “10-year termination.” “No, you just read that. You just read the JCPOA had a 10-year termination. I mean, you read… [TheTopNews] Read More.2 hours ago - Democratic Senators Urge FCC to Block Closing of Paramount-Warner Bros. Merger U...

If I were to tell you the new Netflix series “Oasis” begins with a flash-forward to a shocking crime at a luxury resort, your eyes might glaze over faster than I could say “The White Lotus.” The obvious comparison isn’t wrong, per se; “Oasis” even includes frequent B-roll of waves crashing on the beach, the […] [TheTopNews] Read More.2 hours ago - BREAKING: Israel and Hezbollah Agree to Ceasefire
Photo by: Stringer/picture-alliance/dpa/AP Images Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon have agreed to a ceasefire, according to reports on Friday. The ceasefire renewal came after Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency said 18 people were killed following overnight Israeli air strikes, despite the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding that called for an end to all hostilities. The 14-point MOU provided for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and a $300 billion reconstruction fund for Tehran, among other provisions. Critics slammed the agreement for lessening U.S. leverage, while overly benefiting Iran. Iran has warned that it would ditch the agreement if Israel continued bombing Lebanon. Israel said it lost four soldiers in the fighting this week, including a battalion commander, which prompted the strikes overnight Thursday and into Friday morning. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he instructed the military to strike Hezbollah “with force” for what he called “a blatant violation of the ceasefire.” The aggressions prompted Vice President JD Vance to cancel his planned trip to Switzerland for further talks with Iran, and to sign the MOU that President Donald Trump signed at the G7 Summit. Vance’s trip was set to launch a 60-day period of negotiations to ensure a permanent end to the war. The Swiss Foreign Ministry confirmed the talks had been canceled, saying in a statement, “Switzerland remains ready to facilitate these talks,” and that “relevant preparatory work” in Bürgenstock is continuing. A White House spokesperson said Thursday, “The logistics of these negotiations have never been simple or predictable. As of now the Vice President is not departing tonight. We will let you know as soon as we have a concrete update about next steps. We look forward to beginning technical talks as soon as possible.” Iran offered no immediate reaction to the postponement of the talks. This is a breaking story and has been updated. The post BREAKING: Israel and Hezbollah Agree to Ceasefire first appeared on Mediaite. (AP Photo/Jacquelyn Martin) President Donald Trump torched Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick during a disagreement on tariffs, calling him a “p*ssy,” according to a new book. The incident reportedly occurred in April 2025 when Lutnick was trying to convince Trump that tariffs would not put U.S. auto companies at a “disadvantage, and Trump informed Lutnick that he used to be a “killer,” but had become a “p*ssy” in the years since. “You used to be a killer, Howard,” the president said, according to the upcoming book Regime Change by Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan. “I remember when you were 35, you were a killer. And now you’ve got your beautiful wife, and your big house, and you’re just soft. And you’re a p*ssy. You know what you are? You’re a p*ssy.” The book, which was obtained by CNN and Politico, is based on more than 1,000 interviews over a three-year research period. Both Habberman and Swan also sat down with Trump. Quotes in the book, according to the authors, come the person speaking, a direct witness, or “contemporaneous notes, recordings, or transcripts.” According to the book, Lutnick later turned Trump’s insult around when revenue from tariffs began rolling in, informing the president he was his “twenty-five-billion-dollar-a-month p*ssy.” White House spokesperson Kush Desai responded to the Lutnick tale with a statement, saying, “The President has always sought the best and brightest individuals for his Administration, and Secretary Lutnick and President Trump continue to work closely together to deliver trillions of dollars in investments for the American people.” Other standout details from the book include that White House staff was allegedly monitoring the president’s trash because he was throwing away high-end silverware and leaving late-night messes. “A nighttime snacker, the President would frequently leave an array of empty potato chip bags, Starbucks wrappers, and ice cream cartons in the trash, or on the floor,” the book reads. Another odd instance from the book includes Trump allegedly bragging that he was more powerful than Adolf Hitler. The post Trump Called His Own Commerce Secretary a ‘P*ssy’ in Heated Tariff Fight: New Book first appeared on Mediaite.
